Under The Volcano Bar Houston
Being named after Malcolm Lowry’s Under the Volcano, it’s fitting that the interior walls of this bar are lined with Mexican masks and various Day of the Dead-themed decorations. In honor of Lowry, Volcano has placed his image on the wall behind the bar, bottle of liquor in hand. Beyond the great décor, the bar features amazing cocktails most made with freshly-squeezed juices and fruit with top-shelf liquor. Their strawberry basil margarita looks more like a fruit cup than a cocktail. And if you’re a music lover, don’t miss the jukebox equipped with everything from TV on the Radio to Houston’s own Little Joe Washington.
